Dr. Cameron Webb Receives Rave Reviews for Senior Statesmen Forum
Performance
Charlottesville, VA — Today, Dr. Cameron Webb, Democratic nominee for Virginia's 5th Congressional District, joined his opponent for the first debate of the general election. Dr. Webb emphasized rising above partisanship and special interests to get things done on critical issues like healthcare, rural broadband, education, and more. Below are just some of the many positive reactions to his performance that have been pouring in since the conclusion of the Forum:

“Today, voters across the district heard first-hand why we need to elect a leader who will fight for education, not seek to undermine it. Dr. Webb will be that champion.
“Between his emphasis on expanding rural broadband, investing in schools to raise teacher salaries, and modernizing our education system to fit the needs of our changing workforce, Dr. Webb proved once again that he is in touch with the needs of Virginia’s 5th District, and his message will resonate with any voter who cares about students and public schools” said Dr. James J. Fedderman, president of the Virginia Education Association.

“Today, Dr. Webb reminded all of his supporters in law enforcement of why we are proud to stand with him” said former Fluvanna County Sheriff Ryant Washington. “From his upbringing in a law enforcement family to his powerful responses during today’s Forum, it couldn’t be more clear that Dr. Cameron Webb will be a strong ally for law enforcement as a Member of Congress.”

“Rural broadband may not make the evening news or land in the paper’s headlines, but it is one of the most important issues across our Commonwealth and our country,” said Representative Donald McEachin (VA-04). “Dr. Webb’s repeated emphasis on the importance of working across the aisle to further investment in broadband demonstrates why he is the right kind of leader for this moment: a leader who will always focus on what is in the best interest of his constituents, and for VA-05 that is prioritizing the development of rural broadband.”
